About NT Field & Game
Northern Territory Field and Game (NT F&G) remains the NT’s most community involved shooting association. Core activities include simulated field target shooting, conservation projects, and sustainable hunting activities. NT F&G conduct coaching programs for all community members from school groups, ladies days and senior’s. These programs cover firearms safety within a clay target-shooting environment. NT F&G supports new visitors and has demonstrated significant growth in members.
NT F&G was established in 2000. The membership remained steady averaging 43 members during the years 2006 to 2012. Between 2013 to today there has been a significant increase with the club currently enjoying a diverse membership base exceeding 420 with expectations of continued growth in future years.
NT F&G is actively involved in waterfowl habitat conservation undertaking voluntary projects using its own financial and human resources. These programs have been recognised and through this continuing effort the club is held in high regard within Government departments.
2014 saw significant development for NT F&G with the granting of a lease over land at the Micket Creek shooting complex. The purpose of acquiring land was to develop a simulated field sporting clay target shooting range, a first for the Northern Territory.
NT F&G continues to represent the waterfowl hunting community through exploring increased waterfowl hunting access opportunities and through promoting sustainable hunting seasons and bag limits.
